I have been weaving for 24 years and selling for almost as long! I have slowed down my weaving since my cancer diagnosis and subsequent Whipple surgery but still weave on and off during the day when I have the energy! I currently sell my work on www.barefootweaver.etsy.com.
I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December, 2009. Had Whipple surgery in January 2010 and have had clear CT scans since! We are hopeful for a long and happy life!
As an update...I had a valve replacement in May 2016 and apologize for not answering comments or blogging! I am off to NYC February 15, 2017 for surgery on the 16th to remove a little spot of lung cancer. Hopefully recovery will be uneventful and I will be back at weaving soon!
They are so beautiful and fresh--I would hate to use them for fear of getting them dirty!ReplyDelete
You know.. that's the problem when you buy something so beautifully hand made... you don't want to wreck it by using it!ReplyDelete
I just bought a jeans rug from Hilary at Crazy As a Loom, and I don't want the kids walking on it!! It's in their hallway, they have to!!..lol..
These towels are a great color combo.
Thanks Dawn! They just get thrown in the laundry and dryer and come out beautifully...last for years!ReplyDelete
Oh Karen, love Hilary's rugs--tell them to wash their feet before they step on it! :D I'm thinking of making a rug with my kids' old t-shirts cut into loopers...now just have to find the time! xo
These colors are beautiful! I hope you are doing well :)ReplyDelete
