Etsy Front Page!!

WooHoo!!!!!! I just found out that I (my Sunshine & Shimmer scarf) made the front page of Etsy last night!!!! I didn't actually see it but I'm SO happy!!! Very, Very Happy!! I call it being on the Front Page of The World! Thank you http://www.ginnyhuber.etsy.com/ and http://www.taylorseclectic.etsy.com// for alerting me and check out their amazing shops!! Today it's love to everyone! xoxoxo

Pretty in Pink

I warped all my pink threads but I'm concerned that the warp looks very much like Sunrise/Sunset scarf soooo I'am going to have to figure that out when I start weaving...Below is pictured my warping mill with the beginnings of my warp, the second picture is the completed warp and third is a closeup. The last picture is the warp tied so that the threads don't move during transfer to the loom.

Horses Dommie and Duke!!

Did the chores this morning cause my husband has to be at work super early on Tuesdays. But as you can see from the pictures, my horses are not even awake at 8:00 when I go out! They are both a little fat so they can't go eat grass until noon and somehow I have to make time to ride but the bugs are so discouraging and the fly spray doesn't seem to help much...maybe I'll wait for the fall and not worry about it.

My 18 yo belgian/quarter cross is named Marmaduke (Duke) and my 18 yo leopard is Domino (Dommie). I've had my Dommie since he was 11 and I love him to pieces...Duke came to us last year from a school in Lake Placid, NY. He is sweet and kind and has scars on his face where some previous owner left a halter on when his head was still growing! So awful! but he is beautiful and has a noble face!

I'm off to work on my beautiful pink threads and see what I can produce today!

Weaving a Life

OK, here I am blogging! Who would have thought? A year ago I couldn't even figure out where my pictures were on my own computer! Now I find that selling on Etsy is driving me to want to explain how I work and what I do to create my woven goods. I also want to showcase other artists I have met in the wonderful world of Etsy!!! (Hopefully I will be able to find the proper pictures!)

Today I was inspired by a fellow artist www.mistflowerstudio.etsy.com to create a scarf or two in pink...hmmm I needed to search my stash which sounds easy but you haven't seen my workroom...However, I did find all sorts of thread and so it starts...
