New Triangle Scarf (almost)!!

Well, I started this last week with some rayon tape I bought at my favorite yarn shop in Canton, NY, Linsie Woolsie. The color is not showing up as well as I would like--it is a beautiful, fresh, light seafoam with ribbons of my hand-dyed cotton/rayon tape. I will try to finish it tomorrow and perhaps I can photograph it on Katie on the weekend and put it on Etsy to sell! All my triangle scarves that sell on Etsy have a percentage of the profit going to cancer research. A subject now dear to my heart!!
My third round of chemo started today. I'm looking forward to being done!! It makes me tired though my dr. thinks I need to talk to someone because maybe I'm tired because I'm depressed. I don't really feel depressed--but starting to second-guess myself. Hmmmmm. I am alone too much during the day though so I asked a friend from MA to come visit. That should be fun AND she will help me cook. Doesn't get better than that!

  1. Cait, let's find a time when you can come over and visit me at my studio. We could make some of those buttons together. I did make a few and they are just finished their first firing. Thursday I will do the final firing with stain. I'll send you a pic. Take care. Look forward to seeing you.

  2. don't second guess yourself. some docs are a little too quick with the d-word. but it never ever hurts to talk to a good therapist especially when going through such an ordeal.
happy thoughts and prayers for you! it's good to see you weaving again!

  3. The scarf is lovely. Can't wait to see it finished.

Healing takes time and it makes you tired because it also takes a lot of energy - as much for the actual healing process as copying with it. Don't beat yourself up about it and enjoy your friend being round. Have lots of fun. xo

  4. First, I love seeing the progression of your scarf in these photos! It's lovely, and that shade of blue is perfection!

Second, hats off to what others have said here. Trying to recuperate and knowing how much longer you have for chemo must be exhausting. But that doesn't mean depression. You know yourself better than anyone else does, and if you don't feel depressed, don't make yourself feel that way because a doctor says you might be. Remember to do the things you love to do, as much as your physical self can handle... and read a good book too!
