I feel like we are living in a snow globe! I really like the snow and we haven't had enough of it this winter. All we had is ice and I can do without that. Friends had to put down one of their horses who fell on the ice this winter. Another friend had a horse go down and they had to put straps around him and a chain on their tractor and pull him to firmer ground before he could get up! So my guys have been rather confined to just behind the barn to be safe! But finally the ice is gone and the snow is beautiful!
Ahhh...the horses are there by the old barn but covered in snow so you can't see them. :) Oh my poor broken down old barn...sigh...
But look at the new one! We even have hay in it! Though it is far from finished I think it is lookin' good!
Taken from our bedroom window with the playroom's flat roof in the way! Maybe some year we will take the whole horrible addition off the original house but that is another story for another day...
Meanwhile I have a soup cooking for friends coming over tonight and bread rising and a fire in the cookstove keeping me warm. It doesn't get better than that!

ReplyDeleteYour new barn looks great. Strange to see so much snow still about, but as you say, much nicer than ice. We had very little this year, I'm glad to say. Hot soup and homemade bread by an open fire sounds wonderful! Julia x
