A Different Direction for Scarves...

Normally I weave warp dominant scarves and shawls.
But lately I have needed some pattern and so I
put on some white rayon...half a 6-ply and half
a lovely rayon boucle to satisfy my lust for
texture!  Then...ahhhh...there are just so many
colors in this world.  I am in love!

The only problem is I find making one color
warps a little boring but at least all that
goes away when I finally get a chance to
weave.

All done...

A Shawl and a Blouse...

Finally photographing this shawl and blouse
even though I have had this off the loom for a month.
Sometimes time gets away from me.
I like the drape, the refinement, the texture.
Happy with this one.

Wear it as a shawl or a scarf.

And also sewed up a little blouse.

Perfect over a cami...

perhaps with a tight, black, high-waisted skirt...

or with jeans...

Then my camera decided that the battery needed
charging.  sigh.  I was on a roll, though
I wish I had a model here for the blouse
because it would be best on a smaller woman
(like size 2-10)
than on my mannequin (or me).

Patterned Towels

Well...these towels were on one of my looms since March...I really have slowed down the past 5 years.  But now they are off, hemmed, washed, pressed, tagged and ready to photograph for Etsy.  And I am starting to pull threads for the next batch of Annie's towels...another 12 though I will weave 16.  Christmas is coming!  Towels make lovely gifts!  Put them in a basket with coffee (or wine), a potholder or two and you have a lovely housewarming gift, or a hostess present!

Well...I managed to get 17 towels plus a basket square...Pictures will follow!  Meanwhile I'm off for a walk with Hannah!
